PT Tanjung Kreasi Parquet Industries  

PT Tanjung Kreasi Parquet Industries
Situated in Desa Pinggit approximately half way between Semarang and Magelang, this is Indonesia’s largest flooring factory. The industry specializes in engineered flooring.

Raw materials for substrate and back is sourced primarily from local farmers and rubberwood estates. For the face layer, the company utilize selected local species plus importing a global selection of temperate and tropical woods.

The company also operates a sawmill in Semarang where incoming material is resawn in preparation for the flooring industry.

   
  TFF’s Involvement
TFF has provided a broad range of services to the company including base line assessment for CoC, training workshops for FSC and Legal Verified CoC, investigations into controlled wood sources, and assistance in securing legal supplies of local materials.
     
    Current Status
TKPI is waiting the results of a FSC and Legal Verified CoC audit. TFF will continue providing assistance to the company for the sourcing of legally verified local species.
 
     
   

PT Kayu Lapis Indonesia

Kayu Lapis Indonesia is operates one of the largest plywood factories in Indonesia. It’s industrial complex in Semarang also includes a sawmill and moulding plant plus a flooring industry.

KLI sources its wood from Kalimantan and Papua where it also operates a sawmill.

   
  TFF’s Involvement
TFF’s involvement includes helping to prepare the industry for a CoC for Legal Verified. TFF is also involved in assisting concessions in both Kalimantan and Papua prepare for legality and CoC audits.
   
    Current Status
Follow-up training and technical inputs is expected to continue as the company prepares it’s CoC systems.
