The Project Coordinating Unit of ITTO Project PD 110/01 Rev.4(I), has announced the dates for a Regional workshop on, “RIL Implementation in Indonesia with Reference to the Asia-Pacific Region: Project Review and Experiences from the Field”.

The workshop will review the progress of the ITTO project “Program to Facilitate and Promote Adoption of RIL in Indonesia and the Asia-Pacific Region”, featuring speakers from CFET, TFF, and a number of Indonesian forest concessions.

Case studies will also be presented by speakers from Vietnam, Myanmar, Malaysia, and Papua New Guinea.

This workshop is open to the entire forest sector and should be of particular interest to those who have been following the debate on improving forest harvesting and management practices.

The two day workshop will be held at the Hotel Pangrango 2, Bogor, on February 15th and 16th, 2006.
