In a two day landmark event, The Borneo Initiative brought together international buyers and representatives of Indonesia’s wood working industries in a ‘match making event’ designed to strengthen the demand for the rapidly increasing supply of FSC forest products in Indonesia.

In recent weeks, two more participating concessions have achieved FSC forest management and CoC certification bringing the total number now certified under TBI program to 6 which, together manage a combined area of 679,070 hectares of natural forests (see table below).

On June 12-13th, TBI celebrated the 6 FSC certified forest management units while also welcoming 5 new concessions into TBI certification support program.

TFF was recognized for its contributions to TBI program as a major driver in this success story. TFF has served as Chief Technical Advisor to 5 or the 6 certified concessions and is also sponsoring 2 of the 5 concessions joining this fifth group of participants.
